The Clinton Shellfish Commission (CSC) is composed of 7 volunteers appointed by the Board of Selectmen and operates under a Shellfish Management Plan. The Mission of the CSC is to promote the development of, and properly manage, the Town’s shellfish resources. Restoring shellfish populations to Clinton’s harbor and three rivers strengthens the integrity and resilience of the ecosystems, fosters new growth of shellfish and has brought a return of both commercial and recreational shellfishing to our town. CSC’s restoration programs tie together volunteers, various environmental organizations, the Town of Clinton, its citizens, and commercial shellfishermen.
